Available for Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux, Aleph One supports Marathon, Marathon 2 and Marathon Infinity natively. Many third party scenarios and net maps are also available. Aleph One is available under the terms of the GNU General Public License (GPL). After so many games I still have not unlocked this 'easy' achievement, and the progress show me as: -2129292/100.and with a lock in the description. How can i fix it? I really want to.
Games have never been Apple's forte, at least not until very recently. Here lie a few games from the dark pre-OS X era, fighters of a desperate battle for relevance with an audience more concerned with Quark than Quake.
Thankfully, Bungie freed the code for Marathon Infinity in 1999, which spurred Aleph One being developed - an open source engine tailored to seamlessly run the Marathon trilogy on modern Macs/PCs using either Mac, Windows or Linux as an OS. Aleph One is also the very engine backing this version of the game. Experience the start of Bungie™'s iconic trilogy with Marathon. This release uses the original Marathon data files for the most authentic experience outside of a classic Mac or emulator.
